Yo lo dah espera kung humanidadi

Humanity In The Eyes Of A Kindergarten Teacher

di Yuan Weiye

Humanidadi. Ki humandidadi? Ele teng korsang bong ke korsang kebrahdu? Yo reinah ki isti preguntu mutu tantu generalisadu. Keng podih definah humanidadi? Yo ja olah muitu angkoza-angkoza; asih yo lembrah humanidadi ngua mistura di dos-dos.

Humanity. What is humanity? Does it have a good heart or a broken one? I think this question is too generalized. Who can define humanity? I have seen a lot, and I believe humanity is a mix of both.

During my second practicum, especially, I have worked with a lot of children. They are so cute, so lively. But the children that I love working with the most are those with special needs. I love them because I want to help them, and they must be helped because they need more help understanding. We have to give them a better world than this one. One where they are not judged.

I think that's humanity: people helping each other, without judgement or division.

Teng bong! Yo sa nomi Weiye. Yo studanti di teprensa keninu. Yo prendeh kung amor isti linggu bunitu. Ele ja abertu yo sa olu-olu pra olah isti komunidadi skundehdu, mas firmi kung bunitu. Nus pun teng unga subreddit: r/Papiah_Kristang. Juntah-juntah kung nus!

Hi! My name is Weiye. I am a soon to be Early Childhood Teacher that is learning this language and hope to be able to teach this language to children so that they have a chance to learn about, and for Kristang children, connect with their language and culture.
